ALTARS OF TEMPLE


Altar No. 1

According to the documents, its first consecration took place on Wednesday, Baishakh sudi 1 Samvat 1514. The saintly pleasing smile of this idol is highly attractive. The ancient foot- prints of Shri Jambuswami Maharaj in front of the idol of Lord Ajitnath are also very old but the inscriptions engraved on it are illegible. Besides the main altar, other altars in the temple are respectively as follows

Altar No. 2

This altar is beautified by an attractive white marble idol in the standing meditation posture of Shri 1008 Bahubali Swami ji the first Kewali (its installation date is Vikram samvat 2014 and in the year of 1957)

Altar No. 3

The main idol in this altar is that of lord Parshvanath ji. This idol is made of white marble and is in Padmasan posture, its consecration date is Magha shukla paksha veer Nirvan Samvat 2491 and in the year of 1964. Sapta Rishi Mandal in kayotsarga posture is also installed in front of Parshvanath ji in this altar. These are also made of white marble. About 2000 years ago, a deadly Epidemic spread in Mathura city. At that time a group of seven principal sages (Sapta Rishi) endowed with celerital power alight and stayed in Jambuswami Garden while going by the aerial route. Owing to their dazzling and glorious presence the said Epidemic disappeared.

Altar No. 4

The main idol in this altar is that of lord Chandra Prabhu. There are also some ancient idols in addition to those of Lord Shantinath ji and Jamboo Swami ji. These idols are made of stone and metal. Total number of idols in this altar is 53 (Almost all these idols were carved in Samvat 1549)

Altar No. 5

The main idol in this altar is that of Shri 1008 Lord Parshvanath. This idol made of precious fine grained Jasper stone is excessively and redundenty ancient. First installation date of this idol is inscribed as samvat 189. It was found near Akrur (Dhidhuara) on Mathura- Vrinadavan Road from earth’s interior on June 6, 1966. There are two idols of Lord Parshvanath on both sides of the main idol in this altar. (The year of carving of these idols inscribed is 1549)

Altar No. 6

The main idol in this altar is of lord Parshvanath ji which is made of white marble, on the right side of the main idol there is also a white marble idol of Lord Parshvanath. Their first consecration date inscribed is Samvat 1261. There are two idols of lord Neminath ji, one is made of red stone and the other of marble. Their first installation date inscribed is respectively Samvat 1819 and veer Nirvan Samvat 2491 (1964 A.D.) lord Rishabh Dev’s idol is made of white marble. First installation date is samvat 1549. Idol of lord Padam Prabhu is made of red stone.

Altar No. 7

The main idol in this altar is that of lord Mahavira Swami whose consecration date is veer Nirvan samvat 2491 and samvat 2021 (year 1964). This idol is made of white marble. There are two idols of lord Parshvanath ji whose consecration time is veer Nirvan samvat 2510 (year 1983). First idol is made of brass and the second one is of black stone. The installation date of the idol of lord Rishabhdev is veer Nirvan Samvat 2491 (year 1964) and it is made of brass.

Altar No. 8

This altar is beautified by the idol of Shri 1008 Jambuswami in kayotsarg posture. The installation date of this idol is veer Nirvan samvat 2492 and vikram samvat 2023 (year 1966) and this idol is made of white marble. There is Saraswatii Bhandar and the atlar of goddess Saraswati on the right of the verandah facing the temple and on the left of the verandah there are two altar one is of Kshetrapal baba and the other is of Mata Padmavati. In the altar of Padmavati Devi there are two idols one of metal and the other of stone.

Altar No. 9

This altar is beautified by the idol of Shri 1008 Muni Subrit Nath in sitting posture. The installation date of this idol is Feb.2010
